| No way. Yes, we will elect somebody stupid to be president, as evidenced by GW. But he appeared to be harmless at the time. She does not appear harmless. Or, at least the role they cast her in the campaign didn't appear harmless. |

This from the Daily KOS. MaikeH, whose father had been an ardent, genuine, WWII German Nazi, writes of his father's reaction to watching FOX News in 2004: One day, we had the TV on, and for whatever reason (that I have forgotten), we were watching Fox News. My father watched for about ten minutes, then he said, "What is this?"
"Fox News," I answered.
"This is some kind of joke, right?"
"Uhm, no."
"You mean this is an actual news show? Not satire?" My father obviously thought I was pulling his leg.
"No, it's not satire. Why are you asking?" I said.
"Because all you have to do is change a few adjectives, and it's Nazi talk." |

That's just what the young dipshits Ralph Reed and Jack Abramoff did years ago with their Republican speeches, according to a PBS Bill Moyers report on the Jack Abramoff lobbying scandal. The scumfuckers took Nazi propaganda speeches and substituted 'Jew' with 'Democrat'. Look at Reed and Abramoff today. |

Does this story sound credible to you?
It doesn't to me. It's just another person smearing his ideological opponents with a Nazi comparison. |

| Yes, it seems entirely credible to me, but it could be you're right. Still, the story, true or not, simply wouldn't work if it were not pretty obvious that FOX News was producing Nazi style propaganda. And of that, I'm certain.

Fox news has a demonstrable conservative bias, and you can certainly cherry-pick outrageous statements from individual commentators, but the overall claim that Fox News produces Nazi style propaganda is absurd.
No. The story "works" because it's targeted to an audience that desperately wants that kind of validation of their existing prejudices and who are willing to accept it uncritically when they get it. |

The absurdity, in my opinion, is that FOX News is continuing to use the Big Lie after so fulsomely proving it has stopped working.

I get most of my news from the Internet. When I do tune in to a 24 hour news channel it's usually to CNN out of habit just because that was the first 24 hour news network. However for the past couple of weeks since this issue was raised, I have tuned in to Fox news several times to see if I could find any hint of what you're talking about. I found nothing different from my previous impression that while it may be conservatively biased, but it's absurd to call it Nazi-style propaganda.
However, all we're doing is gainsaying each other. If you truly believe Fox news is Nazi-style propaganda, then that's an extraordinary claim that needs extraordinary evidence to back it up. |

Their agenda is not a Nazi one. But in term of propaganda; theirs is just as active, blatant and obvious than Leni Riefenstahl's. |
Look again at that dot. That's here. That's home. That's us. On it everyone you love, everyone you know, everyone you ever heard of, every human being who ever was, lived out their lives. The aggregate of our joy and suffering, thousands of confident religions, ideologies, and economic doctrines, every hunter and forager, every hero and coward, every creator and destroyer of civilization, every king and peasant, every young couple in love, every mother and father, hopeful child, inventor and explorer, every teacher of morals, every corrupt politician, every "superstar," every "supreme leader," every saint and sinner in the history of our species lived there – on a mote of dust suspended in a sunbeam.
