Due largely to spamming by the dread psychopath David Mabus (NOT our Dr. Mabuse!), PZ Myers has gone to a system that requires a login before posting.
I mostly lurk at Pharyngula, rarely posting. But I like to know I can. Now I can't. The TypeKey system never recognizes my login, and fails every time I try to reset my password.
I hope others aren't having this problem. I also hope someone has some suggestions.

I followed the intructions for registering at typekey and posted on Pharyngula. The first time I couldn't post and then I read a little message and link that sent me back to typekey to sign in. Maybe you missed that? |

| I believe I tried that, but that TypeKey wouldn't let me sign in. Yeah, just tried what you mentioned, which was how I did before. Login fails. I've twice had TypeKey let me change my password, but on each attempt, the procedure fails.

| Welp. I guess you need to get in touch with typekey support. Oh well... |

Have you tried OpenID authorization?
I know I couldn't do it with Typekey until I hit the "sign in" link where it says:
If you have a TypeKey identity, you can sign in to use it here. |
Once I clicked there, my username wouldn't let me get signed in even though I registered with it...I had to use my email (Typekey lets you have that option for signing in), then my password. For some reason, that let me get signed in, with my proper username and all, and I was then able to comment.
It may be that changing your password may not have anything to do with the problem, if you're having the same problem I was.

What brought that on? this. Original posting here.
Another example of this guy's lunacy here. |

| Oh, good point. I too had to use my Email address rather than my screen name before it let me sign in. I forgot about that...
