Somebody just send me this!
That made my day (but I easily amused!)

Look again at that dot. That's here. That's home. That's us. On it everyone you love, everyone you know, everyone you ever heard of, every human being who ever was, lived out their lives. The aggregate of our joy and suffering, thousands of confident religions, ideologies, and economic doctrines, every hunter and forager, every hero and coward, every creator and destroyer of civilization, every king and peasant, every young couple in love, every mother and father, hopeful child, inventor and explorer, every teacher of morals, every corrupt politician, every "superstar," every "supreme leader," every saint and sinner in the history of our species lived there – on a mote of dust suspended in a sunbeam. That's funny!!!! I'd love to have a big, framed print of that on my wall for when the Jehovah's Witness' or the Latter-Day Saints stop by.

I know my idiocy will be confirmed when I know the answer, but: I saw that before, and I still can read it.

Oh! Now I get it. Funny they don't look like the Village People.
edited: I looked at this 3 hours ago and had no idea. After a workout, shower, and a beer it became clear. Probably the beer |

Not sure what it says about me, but I saw it right away. Must be the '70's music they play at work a couple times a week.

| Got it! Thanks. I was researching semaphores, but had only gotten "P-(?)-X-(?)" thus far. I was about to give that up and try American Sign Language.
And my idiocy is indeed confirmed.

Maybe you actually are too smart, looking for an actual sign language and all. Or maybe too heterosexual. |

Yeah, I was over-intellectualizing, I suspect. I just should have READ it, not tried to decode the thing!
Weirdly, a few hours after being given the answer, I realized I'd seen this image before, and had at that time figured it out within a minute or two. Shows how bad my memory is, that I'd forgotten the solution. My brain must have been working more slowly that first time, so I never tried code-breaking before I saw the letters. Paradoxically, I wasn't in the mood to over-think. Once a person is concentrating upon a semaphore chart, it's hard to see the letters in the photo.

Hilarious! I still remember doing the Y-M-C-A on roller skates! |
