Ok everyone, I'll be taking suggestions for questions in next years Psychic contest, the requirements are that the answers must be easily verifiable on New Years 2011 and must be significantly harder than a yes/no question. I'm trying not to have too many questions revolving around money, though this is tricky, I removed the stock picks because there are too many factors involved like selling/splitting/bankrupcy etc., I will be adding the price of rice to the list as it is a good and worldly question.

I like celebrity deaths, so I was thinking something like celebrity divorces/break-ups might be a good one. Who could of seen the drama that Jon and Kate would become? But that's not necessarily truly random and greater social awareness might lead to more accurate predictions even sans psychic powers. Then again, the same could be said for predicting highest grossing movie, where a person who more closely follows the Hollywood buzz would have an easier time predicting winnings. It's hard to think of things which are totally random. Stocks were a good idea, but I can see why they would be a paint to score.
What about picking a specific place, say Death Valley or Mount Rainier, and have everyone guess the total yearly rainfall? Past averages would be helpful, but I think there is enough variation to make this a fun option.

BPS can pick a random day in 2010 and I'll PM him the exact contents of my pockets that evening.
edited to add: It could be a monthly feature of the game! On the 1st of every month people could submit their prediction, BPS picks a random day during that month, etc...
