Well, if the Quakers run afoul of British law by doing what they think is right, it won't be the first time in their long and often proud tradition.

Interesting thought. It could be that gay organizations are nervous about seeming to advocate particular religions versus others.

| If a gay couple doesn't like the policy of their church they should either quit or work within the confines of the church to alter the policy, I would only be a bystander. If the government tried to compel a church to perform gay marriages I would defend the church. |
