better get off their asses and come up with some better vaccines. Am I right peopel?

Also why are they not curing cancer properly? Chemotherapy is shit, If they came up with some good treatments we would use them, we shouldn't have to choose between losing my hair/immune system and cancer.

Yeah! Why use vaccine, or chemotherapy, when we can pray to God to heal us?

Sorry, but magic wands exist only in the excellent Harry Potter novels.

It's being worked on even as we speak. And, the well-endowed McCarthy dingbat, et al., to the contrary, vaccination does not cause autism. Consider; if it did, and as high a percentage of children in the western world get vaccinated, would not autism be a raging epidemic by now?

As for chemotherapy, yeah, it sucks hog boogers but it's a damned sight better than the alternative. And that too, is being worked on. Of course, the New Age quacks love it and become wealthy peddling useless nostrums. I seem to recall that apricot pits were in vogue for a while. Something to do with the arsenic in them, was it?

The Laetrile in the apricot pits turned out to be ineffective, although, in large enough doses, the cyanide in them could kill cancer cells, along with all the other cells in the patient.

Personally, I'd much rather be alive, kickin', and bald than lying in a casket with great looking hair. (Mind you, I'm well on my way to achieving the bald part under my own power.)

Ah, I remember now -- it wasn't something I paid a lot of attention to at the time. Thanks!

I haven't looked at it, but I'd wager that a google on "cancer cures" would net you reams of quackery ranging from crystals and pyramids, and liquefied gazelle glands to Benny "Duck" Hinn style sideshows. And the desperate ever go for it, and far more often than not get sicker.

Taitz, McCarthy, Palin; where do they find them?

I suspect erotic wishful dreaming and damaged imaginations might have something to do with the attraction. That's what's kept Coulter afloat for years.

Does anyone else but me think "Orly" can't be a peculiar name-coincidence from birth? Especially for a dentist? (Not someone I'd go to, anymore than I'd buy a car from a salesman named Honest Jones.)

If this is accurate, Orly herself in not a natural born citizen.
Brief Biography

Dr. Orly Taitz is a California attorney, dentist and real estate agent. An emigre from the Soviet Union, she is said to speak 5 languages. She gained prominence among Obama controversies as the attorney of record in Keyes v Bowen, et al. As one of the 180,000 attorneys in California, Dr. Taitz is bound by the California Bar's Rules of Professional Conduct and the California State Bar Act.
Dr. Taitz is also represented losing vice-presidential Gail Lightfoot and others in a case dismissed without comment by the United States Supreme Court, January 26.
Maybe she's just pissed because she is ineligible to run for president.

She was a practicing Dentist? Hell, I thought she was just a degree collector.

No! You are SO wrong.

I'm alive only due to the use of chemotherapy. Harsh, painful chemotherapy. I sincerely hope that no lurker here takes your ignorant comments seriously. Learn some science, OffC!

Jenny McCarthy's anti-vaccine campaign should be classified as child endangerment.

Also - established vaccines that have been rigorously tested and developed over years for combating major deceases are not the same as the Bush-era Republican-approved commercial pharmaceuticals that are pitched on American TV - followed by quickly spoken, numerously listed hideous side effects.

Diversity, independence, innovation and imagination are progressive concepts ultimately alien to the conservative mind.

wasn't he being sarcastic? Sometime it's hard to tell...

Look again at that dot. That's here. That's home. That's us. On it everyone you love, everyone you know, everyone you ever heard of, every human being who ever was, lived out their lives. The aggregate of our joy and suffering, thousands of confident religions, ideologies, and economic doctrines, every hunter and forager, every hero and coward, every creator and destroyer of civilization, every king and peasant, every young couple in love, every mother and father, hopeful child, inventor and explorer, every teacher of morals, every corrupt politician, every "superstar," every "supreme leader," every saint and sinner in the history of our species lived there – on a mote of dust suspended in a sunbeam.
Carl Sagan - 1996
