Seems this fellow was dating several women other than his wife and was hustling money from them; a common enough event amongst scumbags. Well, the ladies got together and took some well-deserved paybacks quite literally out of his hide.
I find myself reminded of an old Navy toast that is occasionally and drunkenly offered: "Here's to our wives and girlfriends; may they never meet!"
