Yep. You heard that right.
This has got to be the damndest thing I've heard from those characters.
For AP410: This is the undegrad course. You have three things to do: (1) take the final exam (worth 40% of your grade); (2) write a 3,000-word essay on the theological significance of intelligent design (worth 40% of your grade); (3) provide at least 10 posts defending ID that you've made on "hostile" websites, the posts totalling 2,000 words, along with the URLs (i.e., web links) to each post (worth 20% of your grade). |
Note that the final exam is now available. Also, all materials for grading need to find their way into the hands of Prof. Jason L. Reed (email: jreed AT ses DOT edu). |

What brought that on? this. Original posting here.
Another example of this guy's lunacy here. |

It seems this may be a case of Poe. Again, I've been hoisted upon my own petard.

I'm a little bit unclear about what they are teaching at this school. Is this a school to learn to become a preacher? Also, if they are rejecting scientific principles, how is a degree from this (or similar) schools worth anything? |

No. It's a Christian university. Officially, it is supposed to offer secular degrees to compete with that from real institutes, just without the evilution endoctrination and gay sex abortionism. I guess it might work, provided the guy hiring does not check the degrees too closely or does not care. I for one would be really suspicious in hiring somebody from such a place. |

Ah so this is how "Doctor" Kent Hovid earned his PhD! I am actually surprised that a degree from such a place is even allowed since there is always the possibility that some quack will use their "degree" to get a job where they might cause someone's death. "Pray away the Cancer!" |

| Oh no, Hovind was much worse. His "Doctorate" is from Patriot University which, at the time, was in a split-level residence in, I believe, Colorado. Today, it is called Patriot Bible University, but it is still a diploma mill.

Indeed, the 'Christian college' actually make an attempt at educating their students. Howind never even had the benefit of such classes, sub-par, biased, or not... |

By the way, I was wrong when I decided the Dembski site with student assignments was Poe. The domain there is registered to Dembski. Bill's actually now sounding like a very clever parody of Bill Dembski going off the deep end.

Indeed, I have seen it referenced in many places with nobody coming up with an official denunciation from Dembski, which is pretty telling IMO. |

As has been pointed out elsewhere, Dembski teaches at the flagship school of the Southern Baptist Convention, which itself was formed to defend slavery using the Bible.
Just more ammo for when those "Darwin was a racist" claims show up. |
