Do you think there is any merit to what he has to say?

| No. I think it's a load.
MSNBC has a bias as does Fox news. They both deal in "political correctness" but from different ends of the spectrum. As a skeptic, it's best to look at many sources of a story. Having said that, my bias is more on the MSNBC side of things, but I am aware of my bias and for important stories, I check around.
Hint hint...
By the way, the link is a conservative "politically correct" screed and is simply wrong on many points. To say, for example, that Americans on the left side of "political correctness" don't care about issues, like how woman are treated in other countries, is a lie. It's also offensive that every subgroup in America that would like equal rights can now be waved away because the demand for equal rights equals "political correctness" which is automatically a bad thing. How convenient is that? The guy practically hissed when he used the word "feminist." Anyhow, the whole thing just breaks down into an anti liberal rant. A "politically correct" rant if your audience happens to be conspiracy minded conservatives, like the kind we see today, short on critical thinking skills and long on hyperbole and hypocrisy.
Also, I think the anchor in the piece that you linked to should have been a black gay woman.

Go look at it:Indeed, it's readily apparent that Gladney seems completely unhurt. He wanders out to the crowd, chats with the cameraman, flags down a cop, and saunters back to where police decide to handcuff the man who knocked him down. As you can hear, the man protests that he was just keeping Gladney away from his fallen friend.
The next day, Gladney is at the press conference in a wheelchair. He claims to be too medicated to speak, so his lawyers and fellow tea partiers do it for him. Wow. Looking at the video, Gladney's walking around just fine, not calling for an ambulance or anything, while his "attacker" is placed in cuffs and taken away.
It's not like PajamasTV has any sort of bias that they're trying to promote. |

Robb......
There is some merit in the Pajama Man's pointing out that the MSNBC chick referred to "white" men bearing arms at a Town Hall meeting when in fact it was a black man with the AK47 and handgun. He has the germ of a valid Conservative complaint here.
But, as Kil points out, his highly biased right-wing harangue is laden with half-truths, innuendeo, and dubious history. Although the decibel level of MSNBC is beginning to approach that of FOX, it's only fair to have an over-active left wing counter to the preposterous nonsense that is daily bleated by the shameless propagandists at FOX -- O'Reilly (non-political, Independent), Hannity (fierce, hard-hitting interviewer of right wing nuts) and Glenn Beck (bat-shit crazy ranter and largely unintelligible)
Pajama Guy could be mildly persuasive to an Independent if he would get better control of his presentation (as wild-eyed and hyperbolic as Beck) and pretend a little more balance in his handling of the right-wing material-- kind of like George Will or David Brooks. |
