What on Earth? #57: Spotted Record
Something quite unusual is going on in this photograph.
(Hat tip to Trish. Very nice exercise idea. Thanks much!)
For one point for each question:
1. In some useful detail what's going on here?
2. What city is this?

| Not a clue as to the city, date, or time, but this appears to be a pattern caused by sunlight reflecting off of the windows of another building, presumably the one from which the photo was taken. |

It sure is! Note the clear image of the partial eclipse in some of the spots of reflected light. The (silvered?) windows must have been slightly concave (maybe from the pressures from a breeze?) to have made those images.
