This evening, my wife called me over to the television to watch a rather bizarre commercial: The Church of Latter-Day Saints (aka Mormons) have a website where you can chat with their missionaries to find out if God has a plan for you.
I wonder what the answer is?
Anyway, the url in the commercial was "chat.mormon.org" which redirects you here.
Anybody interested in trying it?

| No one here is more qualified for "trying it" than you are. Let me know what it's like! |
Uncertainty may make you uncomfortable. Certainty makes you ridiculous.
Why not question something for a change?

| I called 'em. They soon decided that for me, the answer was "no." But they said Satan has a whole series of plans for me. |

I have chatted many times with the mormins and have never gotten that far. They are willing to dive into some philosophical perspectives yet they begin to twich as you reveal the logic of life. Their minds are on scripture and conformity which allows them peace of knowing. This is a psychological phenomena that has been viewed in all religions, the sense that there are somethings in life that can not be explained so lets believe this myth and claim that it is absolute truth so that our mind can function in a less stressfull realm. they always tell me to meditate and that god will talk to me and I believe god has talked to me and god says that there are some weak souls in the universe that can not take the mysteriousness for which I have created for them. So the Mormons are sort of just like us, Lost. Joshua |
