Do you recall back a few weeks ago, when Mt. Vernon, a podunk town in Washington state and the birthplace of everybody's favorite ClusterFOX whiner, hid the good silverware and gave Glenn Beck the keys to the city, and then proclaimed a Glenn Beck Day? Well, it seems that now they might have to hock that silverware to cover the tab.
Bill for Glenn Beck Day stuns Mount Vernon
By Erik Lacitis

Seattle Times staff reporter

Glenn Beck Day in Mount Vernon was an expensive lesson for this small town, as it found out the cost of hosting a controversial celebrity.

It's on the hook for $17,748.85, mostly for 239 hours of police overtime.

Isn't that a little steep for a one-day event?

"Honestly, I'm a bit surprised at how big the cost was," says Alicia Huschka, the town's finance director.
Beck should go into the fertilizer business because everything he touches turns to shit. He could team up with Limbaugh, who claims to have spawned him (and there's as disgusting a mental image as you're likely to find outside of a Nazi health spa), and start a faeces farm.

Me, I wish Mt. Vernon well and hope they get their nut back with a minimum of pain. I also hope they've learned a valuable lesson: Avoid glorifying scumbags, homeboy or not.

Mt. Vernon, eh? Methinks George Washington would be spinning in his grave.

Mount Vernon, Washington, not Mount Vernon, Virginia.

I know, but it would still be an embarrassment if it was me. I'm certain that the many Mt. Vernon's scattered across the U.S. were all named after the original. (There's almost as many as there is Springfield)
