Got a gateway timeout on the link, SS. but I'll comment anyway.
I do not trust Monsanto. A couple of years back, I read that they were selling seed in Africa that would not produce viable progeny. Thus the farmers had to buy new seed each year, rather than set some of their harvest aside for future planting. I'll try and find a link.

While I've not yet have had time to watch this segment, I've seen stuff on Swedish news and documentaries regarding Monsanto's (and other huge food companies') dealings in third world countries, and even western ones, that have made me weary about them.
I wouldn't be at all surprised if the segment is true.
