Hi, my latest snarky creation is http://scifiology.org/ that makes fun of Scientology. It irks me that Scientology has the root of science in their name when there's nothing scientific about it at all!

| Hi ThorGoLucky and welcome.
Scientology is no more than a criminal enterprise that should be excised like a malignant tumor. I've been on their case for years, albeit not in any sort of a fun way. I would love it if they would come in here and try to defend their garbage, but I suspect that they don't know that we exist, and are too cowardly for the fray if they did, anyway.
Hey, looking forward to your input!

Hi, filthy. Thanks for the welcome.
From what I've gathered, the Scientology folks are a mix of true believers and charlatans. Hey, that sounds so familiar!

Scientology is having a good year this year -- good for everyone else, that is. They've lost top staff, been reduced to cult level and fined by ever-practical French, and are now getting their humps busted by the heirs of Sir Winston Churchill for using his image in their propaganda. What's not to love, eh? Leave Churchill out of Scientology, says family
Images of Britain's wartime leader are being used in recruiting posters
By Guy Adams in Los Angeles
Sunday, 29 November 2009
Fight them on the beaches if you will. But the descendants of Sir Winston Churchill have decided that a more effective way to prevent the Church of Scientology from hijacking the memory of Britain's wartime leader involves stern cease-and-desist letters and the threat of a costly PR battle.
In an unlikely dispute that pits Sir Winston's grandchildren against followers of the late L Ron Hubbard – the science-fiction writer who believed, among other things, that mankind descended from aliens who arrived on Earth via spaceships – the controversial church has been asked to remove Churchill's image and quotations from its fundraising literature.
The literary agency Curtis Brown, which represents several members of the Churchill family, has written to the church's London branch protesting at a range of advertising leaflets and posters that liken the Allied struggle against Nazi Germany to Scientology's efforts to recruit new members.

One of the disputed posters.
How this will work out remains to be seen, public domain laws being what they are. If nothing else, it will tie them up for a while and maybe cost them cash. Also, their reputation will suffer (if that's possible), as Sir Winston is an icon in Britain, as well he should be.

[TestMode] SO, where precisely, is Scientology not science? [/TestMode]
Now, where are the creators of Rosie the Riveter in all this? |

Nice stuff, Thor. It's a sort of one-stop-shop site for debunking Scientology. It inspired me to do a little Photoshopping. |

Nice, Mooner.
Bunny dglas, I don't know what you mean by your test mode tags in this context.
