The faithful are going batshit in Malaysia.
Mon, Nov 9 2009KUALA LUMPUR (Reuters) - Arsonists in Malaysia struck another church on Saturday, bringing the attacks on churches to four in two days as a row escalates over the use of the word Allah to refer to the Christian God.

What's in a name, eh? 
Correct me if I am wrong, but I've always been under the impression that the god of the Abrahamic faiths, Christianity, Islam and Judaism, is all the same critter. That being the case, what the hell is all the shouting about? If God doesn't object, and there has been no sign that he has, why should anyone else?
Perhaps it has something to do with that Christian tribune business and the Muslims don't want their version of Allah chopped into three pieces -- I dunno. Something else I don't know is why, precisely, the all-powerful creator of the whole, freakin' universe might need to be defended by some segment of the population on this little pissant of a planet in that same universe. But they all claim it's gotta be done because...... Well, that's the question, isn't it?

Yes, God = Allah. Same imaginary thing, different words.
And proselytizing is illegal there. Of course, illegal for the non-Muslim minority yet not for the Muslims, eh?
