FOX "news," douchebags to the end.
It's a horrible, unspeakable tragedy that gets you right in the core of your humanity. The poorest country in the Western Hemisphere is flattened by a huge earthquake. Hundreds of thousands killed, thousands of children orphaned, more than 1.5 million now homeless. Bodies of the dead are lain in the street to be bulldozed into mass graves while machete-wielding gangs fight for the scarce resources. The pain, the fear, the sense of hopelessness is palpable.

It is now incumbent upon all of us, as fellow humans, to lend a hand and help the Haitians. And in a rare show of humanity, broadcast and cable television outlets have agreed to pre-empt their regular programming to air the Hope For Haiti Now Global TV Telethon.

Except for Fox News Channel.

Our crack C&L team has checked around the dial and compiled a list of channels participating:

There follows a rather long list of participants from which FOX is conspicuous by it's presence on everything else but that. They certainly didn't interrupt O'Reilly for it (as if anyone could).

Yeah, I understand. But it is my imperative not to let it go unanswered.

When science gives us cars, mobile phones, computers, and medicine, faith gives us delusions false hope of comfort.

You don't think Henry Ford had any faith that his Model T's would replace the horse and carriage?
Don't be such an asshole.
You're actively trying to sabotage this discussion by equivocating a belief in one self's accomplishments or ability (Henry Ford having faith in his car), with acquiring knowledge from God (Truth) by divine inspiration. Just because the word "faith" is spelled the same... But it does have different meaning depending on context. Children are taught this long before high school, maybe you need to go there and freshen up your language skills?

"Equivocation" is not a job career, it's a logical fallacy. Your argument have failed, please try again.

You missed the point.
And you've missed the point of having science. You're clueless when it comes to what science is all about.

Everybody has faith.
There's a bloody big difference between having faith that the sun will rise tomorrow or if I let go of this apple it will fall to the ground, and having faith that there is an invisible silent God who can hear your thoughts and violate the laws of physics accordingly.
It's called empirical evidence. If you can't see the difference you really need to get your head examined.

The question becomes where do you place your faith? You appear to have placed your faith in your own definition of science.
You seem to implying something that I would consider offensive. Please elaborate on this, so I don't have to draw the wrong conclusions.

I am here to remind you of the fact that because humans perform science we have many errors and non-truths in science.
A statement which clearly shows that you have no clue what science is, and how it works.

So simply placing all of your faith in science in no way gives you a monopoly on truth.
I never claimed monopoly on truth.

Heck, it don't even guarantee you a majority.
Guarantee me a majority of what? Please elaborate.

How important is it to protect children from child-molesting priests, when the church actively protects the priest by covering up the molestations and shields him from the police, then reassign him to a parish where his pedophilia is still a secret so he could start molesting children again?

Edited to add:
There are actually standards for protecting priests from pedophilia allegations which comes from the highest heads of the church in question, so obviously my bringing up priest pedophilia as a deviation from standard (like you did above) is a false analogy.
I apologise for that.

Funny you should mention those two, because guess who just demanded transparency from the Hope for Haiti Telethon?

In my dreams, the answer O'Reilly's people got when they called was this: "WTF? You want us to find someone to take time out of the hard work we're doing here just to satisfy Bill O'Reilly's ego? Get stuffed! If one of the participating channels wanted transparency, we'd be delighted to open the books for them. But we don't owe Fox News Channel a goddamn thing. Good-bye."

Regarding Haiti and Pat Robertson, Richard Dawkins had a nice take on it:
