This image reminds me:
Some of you may recall the delightful, pen & ink illustrated classic book originally for savvy kids titled "Uncle Shelby's ABZ Book"* by Shel Sliverstein. In it, under letter "E" he wrote about "Ernie" the egg-loving genie who lives in the ceiling. Shel instructs kids to get an egg and throw it up at the ceiling and shout "Catch Ernie, catch the egg!" and Ernie will reach down and catch the egg.

(*Believe it or not the original edition assumed kids were smart enough to know what's up, but in modern editions, there are warning stickers and a cover edit to inform the modern dumbed-down public that the book is a parody "for adults". Silverstein wrote it for kids and adults and its hilarious. My crazy wild Chippewa dad bought me the book when I was about 10 or 11.)

Diversity, independence, innovation and imagination are progressive concepts ultimately alien to the conservative mind.

"TAX AND SPEND" IS GOOD! (TAX: Wealthy corporations who won't go poor even after taxes. SPEND: On public works programs, education, the environment, improvements.)

Oh, it's another orgasm,
I thought I was being paged.

"We are all connected; to each other biologically, to the earth chemically, to the rest of the universe atomically."

"So you're made of detritus [from exploded stars]. Get over it. Or better yet, celebrate it. After all, what nobler thought can one cherish than that the universe lives within us all?"
