The Authoritarians by Bob Altemeyer
A free online book. It's about authoritarianism and its followers. I could've posted this under the Religion forum, as it has research that shows evidence that atheists are generally more principled than theists.

Authoritarianism is something authoritarian followers and authoritarian leaders cook up between themselves. It happens when the followers submit too much to the leaders, trust them too much, and give them too much leeway to do whatever they want--which often is something undemocratic, tyrannical and brutal. --Bob Altemeyer
Really thought-provoking stuff, well worth the time. It's one of the most important books I've read in the past decade. --Mark Irons, a good friend of mine.
The book has a questionnaire to determine your RWA (right-wing authoritarianism) scale. I don't like calculating the results by hand, so I just had to write web page to do it for me.
