Haven't a clue. I'm too lazy to watch it all. I do know that it was done on the cheap, anyhow.
Anyway, this is originally from the something awful forums a photoshop thread that really took off. Look for posts by "Victor Surge".
They talk about it here.
The Result? This.
An analysis of the tropes used are here.
Paranoia Fuel: How about Slendy nonchalantly walking into your bedroom as you sleep and disappearing for no reason? Or you know, totheark appearing in your room to stare at you and take you somewhere for three hours....without you even realizing it. Slender Man silently standing in the darkness, in front of you... And was Blair Witch done wrong? I thought is was decent. |
I would rather face a cold reality than delude myself with comforting fantasies.

Blair Witch had a good concept, and it may have sucked people in, but it failed with me. The over-reaction to stimuli around the actors, plus the fact they didn't seam to know one lick of wood lore to survive in the woods. Just didn't buy into it.
I can see how it could work (i.e. Cloverfield, even though it wasn't low budget), but if you are going to do low budget you need to get the story and the reactions of the actors right. |
