And what has the great waste of intellectual vacuum come up with this time? Dig it:
Glenn Beck blames Weathermen for Homer Simpson’s stupidity

By David Edwards and Muriel Kane
Friday, July 30th, 2010 -- 1:11 pm

Complaints that TV sitcoms undercut the traditional American family have been commonplace for the last decade. But it took Fox News host Glenn Beck to turn the idea into a far-reaching conspiracy theory.

One article from 2003, for example, remarked that "comic portrayals of men have become increasingly negative. The trend is so noticeable that it has been criticized by men's rights groups and some television critics."

Now, seven years later, Beck has caught up with that trend and woven it into his theories about an ongoing assault on American culture.

"It's indoctrination!" Beck ranted on Thursday. "They are going after our churches -- but they're going into our families, as well. ... They're targeting our traditions."

He pulled up a quote from the seminal June 1969 position paper of the radical Weathermen which asserted, "The role of the 'wife-mother' is reactionary in most modern societies. And the disintegration of that role under imperialism should make women more sympathetic to revolution."

While TV is indeed a lowest, common denominator, I'm still not too sure how he makes that connection. I doubt if Beck is, either.

Glenn Beck is a madman. Anyone who takes his ravings seriously has got to be crazy, ignorant, and/or stupid. The man is a walking sick joke.

Glen Beck is so delusional and deranged that he is difficult to make fun of. I'm mean, how can you top some of the shit he says? He is a walking Poe, parody of him is indistinguishable from him.

Hey, let's see who can most thoroughly bash Beck in two or three sentences! (I think Dude and Filthy are already on the case.)

Glenn Beck's portrayal of men on Fox News is not helping.

Well, lessee now....

Beck is a cerebral dose of the clap if not an actual one. He's a syph-chancre on humanity's discarded foreskin. He neither informs nor does he entertain; rather he casts a pestilent net of appeal toward those who could easily take his place, mostly morons who just can't stand a black guy in the White House.

His face becomes that of a sniveling nebbish as he whines tearfully at his audience. Like the porcine pustule, Limbaugh before him, he does not hesitate to attack the young children of his betters. Then he offers an apology that only another chronic slanderer could call sincere.

He is a stupid person who has found a home amongst the other professional imbeciles at ClusterFOX Nooze. He fits in comfortably at that foul organization like a bott maggot in a rat's scrotum.

In brief, he is an infected and festering hemorrhoid dangling from the unwiped anus of the national discourse and will never be more than that. He is worthy only of the attention I've I've seen fit to give him here, and would that I could say it to his lying face.

'K, next please....

Another case in point:
We knew Glenn Beck was going to deny any culpability for his role in inciting a right-wing nutcase named Byron Williams, who got into a shootout with Oakland police officers last week when they pulled him over en route to his planned attack on the San Francisco offices of the Tides Foundation and the ACLU. After all, Beck always cries, like his conservative cohorts, that eeeeevil libruls are just trying to "silence" him whenever he incites acts of violence.

Personal responsibility? That's for liberals and black people, we guess.

But his denial yesterday on his Fox News show went beyond mere cries of "bloody shirt!" -- though it contained that, too. What he attempted to do was claim some kind of equivalence and another Oakland incident involving shots fired at the police -- even though the claim is just nakedly false:

The next thing is, they're painting people into terrorists -- painting people into dangers.

Um, you know, we had a sniper in, um, Oakland, California, trying to kill police. At the same time we have another guy who appears to be against the Tides Foundation, uh, and he goes down and he's going to try to kill people at the Tides Foundation. I'm tied to the Tides Foundation in this story because, quote, how scary is this? We have searched all the television records and Glenn Beck is the only host that spoke about the Tides Foundation in the past year. That's terrifying.

But I'm tied to that. But nobody's even talking about the sniper from the left trying to shoot the police officer.

So where do you stand on violence?

Let's parse this carefully, because it's important to understand just how deep Beck's mendacity is here.

Turns out his mendacity is deep to the point of abysmal. And really, his very manner as well as his words bespeak of a man devoid of any sembelence of conscience.
