It seems that those two do not like each other very much, as is seen here.

I haven't watched the video, but I'm wondering if King brings up the fact that Beck has Nazi Tourettes.

What brought that on? this. Original posting here.

Another example of this guy's lunacy here.

Go ahead and watch the video; it's mercifully brief. Beck is nowhere near in a class with King, best-seller or not. Hmm, I wonder who bought his books..... Oh, right.

Safety of Fox News. Nothing surprising. Nothing worth watching.

What's up with the confusion between seconds 20 and 30 in the first link? Glenn Beck almost seems put off at O'Reilly calling his book fiction.

Why continue? Because we must. Because we have the call. Because it is nobler to fight for rationality without winning than to give up in the face of continued defeats. Because whatever true progress humanity makes is through the rationality of the occasional individual and because any one individual we may win for the cause may do more for humanity than a hundred thousand who hug their superstitions to their breast.

You don't have to watch a lot of Beck (and I watch as little as possible, and then only for comedic purposes) to realize that he is completely fucking insane. But this clip really brings out how utterly, skin-crawlingly creepy the guy is. He is way beyond "I wouldn't leave my kids alone with him" creepy, he's reached "I wouldn't leave Charles Manson alone with him" creepy. Ugh!

The foundation of morality is to . . . give up pretending to believe that for which there is no evidence, and repeating unintelligible propositions about things beyond the possibliities of knowledge.

He might have pulled the old trick that helped put Dianetics on the best-seller list. Just go to a bookstore and purchase all their stock of the book, then re-box them and return with 'new' copies.

You should never insult anyone who has their own TV show or their own segment on a tv show. (unless you also have one). They will bury you at every opportunity in their flattering TV environment

Right. It is encumbent upon us to know the difference between shit and shinola. Beck knows his target audience and is making a nice living feeding them shit.
