Backing mainly losing Teabaggers, Sarah Palin seems to be at best the butt of jokes, and at worst an irrelevant footnote in America's politics.

So is a rattlesnake, but I wouldn't smooch with it.

Palin has a peculiar sort of irrelevancy. She is wildly popular even amongst non-'baggers. Lots of us follow every move she makes, with the exception of bowel, but I know of no one who would actually vote for her. It seems to me that she is a sort of reverse spoiler. Almost everything she touches fails, starting with the McCain campaign.

Will she run for Prez? I think she intends to but might smarten up in the next couple of years and decide it's futile. Then the teabaggers can keep her for a pet.

And hopefully she becomes even more irrelevant when the conclusion reached by even more americans is that she is a "celebration of ignorance". I don't believe most people like to consider themselves as ignorant or be associated with it. I believe most people here saw the Mother Jones interview of Bob Inglis a SC congressman who lost his republican primary to a tea bagger. As it relates to Palin this is a very telling response.
Asked if there are any 2012 GOP contenders who can lead the party in a more credible direction, ... What about Sarah Palin? Inglis pauses for a moment: "I think that there are people who seem to think that ignorance is strength." And he says of her: "If I choose to remain ignorant and uninformed and encourage people to follow me while I celebrate my lack of information," that's not responsible.

She is?

Sorry, I can sometimes get carried away with my facetiousness. I shall try to refrain from now on.
