Dont know if this is photoshopped or not but this church may need to rethink its marketing campaign.

Heh, oh dear!

On the other hand, you've got to give them a mark or two for originality and letting folks translate it for themselves.

Is it a fail or is it intentional? It's a common advertising gimmick to employ something that's already proven itself popular in service of whatever you're trying to promote. (Example: The Snuggie Macarena.) It's not the first time I've seen Christians consciously co-opt internet shorthand and pretend it means something other than its commonly understood usage. One time a Christian informed me that "lol" stands for "loving our Lord." Imagine how often people see the letters "WTF" on the internet. Now imagine every time they see those letter their brain completes it as "Worship. Teaching. Friends." So this campaign attempts to "overwrite" the letters' preexisting but profane association and offer a godly alternative.

Maybe. Or it could be they're just dumbasses.

"The first principle is that you must not fool yourself - and you are the easiest person to fool." --Richard P. Feynman
