It's hardly surprising that the first comes from a Republican whom I've called a scumbag before. Now I get to do it again.
When Republicans attack health care reform, Democrats like to counter by accusing Republicans of wanting to repeal a law that requires insurance companies to cover people with pre-existing conditions. According to Republican Presidential hopeful Mike Huckabee, that's exactly right. People with pre-existing conditions, he explains are like houses that have already burned down.
"It sounds so good, and it's such a warm message to say we're not gonna deny anyone from a preexisting condition," Huckabee explained at the Value Voters Summit today. "Look, I think that sounds terrific, but I want to ask you something from a common sense perspective. Suppose we applied that principle [to] our property insurance. And you can call your insurance agent and say, "I'd like to buy some insurance for my house." He'd say, "Tell me about your house." "Well sir, it burned down yesterday, but I'd like to insure it today." And he'll say "I'm sorry, but we can't insure it after it's already burned." Well, no preexisting conditions."

And the second is, perhaps, more of a failed Red Herring from someone few have ever heard of; a teabagger who would revise history.
Christine O'Donnell isn't the only Delaware Tea Party candidate making waves.
The seat in the House of Representatives currently held by Republican Mike Castle -- who was defeated by O'Donnell in Tuesday's Senatorial primary -- is also up for grabs. The Republican primary for that office was won by Tea Partier Glen Urquhart, and it turns out that his political positions may be even more unique than O'Donnell's.
"Do you know, where does this phrase 'separation of church and state' come from?" Urquhart asked at a campaign event last April. "It was not in Jefferson's letter to the Danbury Baptists. ... The exact phrase 'separation of Church and State' came out of Adolph Hitler’s mouth, that's where it comes from. So the next time your liberal friends talk about the separation of Church and State ask them why they’re Nazis."
"My jaw dropped when I heard it," rival candidate Kevin Wade told Delaware Online. "And he was emphatic about it -- it was not like a slip of the tongue. He got applause from half the crowd, and that disturbed me. I'd say half the room was stunned and the other half applauded."
According to Delaware Online, "Urquhart says the statement was taken out of context and that he did not explain his point very well. If he could do it over, he said, he would add more historical context and explain why he rejects Hitler's take on the relationship between government and the church."

And Ms. O'Donnell is another piece of work, second only to the legendary Palin.
Where do the Republicans, even the brain-damaged, teabagging ones find these slush-wits? More to the point, how poor are the thought process' of the American electorate that they can actually be competitive? We shall find this last out this November.

Was Hitler a vegetarian? Interesting question. I'm too lazy to post research results, or even look them up, but we know for sure that the great bulk of his diet was vegan, and he had a chef who was expert at cooking it. It is thought that he backslid once in a while, German sausages and meat puddings being what they are.
I read somewhere that he turned total vegan shortly after his niece, Geli, committed suicide. He was very close to her, and you can imagine the speculations that aroused. Anyhow, he put a piece of ham in his mouth, then spat it out, disgusted by it, and never ate meat again. So the story goes. He neither drank nor smoked as well. Really, the dude was totally fucked up!
