This is not without precedent:His most famous blunder occurred when he corrected student William Figueroa's correct spelling of "potato" to "potatoe" at an elementary school spelling bee in Trenton, New Jersey, on June 15, 1992. |

| Ah, but how I miss having Dan Quayle to kick around. He was so easy, it made for a relaxing break from going for the throats of smarter, more articulate Republicans. I think the confusion was Danny grew up playing with a Mr.Potato Head. My Mr.Potato had 10 potatoes on his feet and 5 eyes, one on his butt. SS |
