Yep, a teabagger wrote a children's book. What's it about?

To hell with the quote, this is just so damned crazy you have to read it for yourself.

>From: enuffenuff@fastmail.fm
(excerpt follows):
> I'm looking to teach these two bastards a lesson they'll never forget.
> Personal visit by mates of mine. No violence, just a wee little chat.
>
> **** has also committed more crimes than you can count with his
> incitement of hatred against a religion. That law came in about 2007
> much to ****'s ignorance. That is fact and his writing will become well
> know as well as him becoming a publicly known icon of hatred.
>
> Good luck with that fuckwit. And Reynold, fucking run, and don't stop.
> Disappear would be best as it was you who dared to attack me on my
> illness knowing nothing of the cause. You disgust me and you are top of
> the list boy. Again, no violence. Just regular reminders of who's there
> and visits to see you are behaving. Nothing scary in reality. But I'd
> still disappear if I was you.

What brought that on? this. Original posting here.

Another example of this guy's lunacy here.

This is satire, right? It has to be.

Tom

`Contrariwise,' continued Tweedledee, `if it was so, it might be; and if it were so, it would be; but as it isn't, it ain't. That's logic.'

Ack! My eyes! I've been blinded by what has to be the worst piece of writing yet produced in the twenty first century. I'm due for cataract surgery early next year; I'm no longer sure I want it....

I can't seem to find a publisher for this ridiculous piece of political gibberish. I suspect that it's one of the vanity press' -- who else would touch it?

Anyhow, I did find this:
“The Liberal Clause”

What people are saying

Every conservative household in this country should have a copy of this book! - Brenda, Ohio

This is a tea party book for the next generation of tea party activists. I love it! - Bob, Texas

I have never had so much fun reading to my kids. - Anna, Florida

This book has New York Times best seller written all over it! - Robert, Washington

As one of the few lucky people who have received an advanced copy of David Hedrick’s book, I have to guard it closely as everyone I show it to wants to keep it. It will have you laughing in tears. - Jennifer, Michigan

"too good not to be illustrated and published for all children to enjoy." -Dave Bow, "The Portland Mercury"

"powerful political satire." Adrian Chen, Gawker.com

This is followed by an order form promising that even you, you disgusting commie, pinko-fag, can have a copy and it will be signed by the [snicker] author! Oh, be still my fluttering heart!

It is interesting to note that both the Bow and Chen quotes are bob-tailed. I call quote-mining and therefore bullshit on them.

"What luck for rulers that men do not think." -- Adolf Hitler (1889 - 1945)

"If only we could impeach on the basis of criminal stupidity, 90% of the Rethuglicans and half of the Democrats would be thrown out of office." ~~ P.Z. Myres

Here's video of the author, asking questions of a Congressman.

Apparently, because the Nazis called themselves National Socialists, they must have been leftists. Surely, that explains why the Nazis fought against the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics.

This sort of reasoning leads to silliness in the book description:
In this snow covered socialist wonderland, Santa’s workshop is unionized and central planning controls toy production.
This guy knows socialism as well as I know Hummel figurines.

And it appears he is a model citizen.

Looks like he's a serial wife-beater as well as a literary douchebag. And then there's this:
Before his entry into politics, Hedrick, who grew up in Orlando, Fla., served in the Marine Corps. He was discharged with 30 percent disability, the result of an injury to his ankle during basic training at Camp Pendleton and a back injury he has declined to discuss.

So, he's an ex-Marine in name only. He never made it through boot. I hope not, but I think we haven't heard the last of him. Die-hard teabaggers are nothing if not persistent.

Yeah. Like there is no top-down, "central planning" in a capitalist factory. No CEOs, no Board of Directors.

There are vast differences between a capitalist market-driven economy and a socialist "command" economy, but not so much at the factory level, aside from real trade unions usually being banned under the Soviet system. (For real literary critiques -- by a socialist -- try Orwell's 1984 and Animal Farm.)

This guy has no clue -- or is simply lying -- about the Communism that he thinks he's critiquing, and even if he had got it right, it bears no resemblance to Obama's oh-so-moderate liberalism.

It seems pretty telling that all the good people in the book appear to be white.

Government is not reason; it is not eloquent; it is force. Like fire, it is a dangerous servant and a fearful master. - George Washington
