it's February the 12th and on this day a great man was born; one who would change the world of science. As soon as the Sun is over the yardarm, let's break out the good booze and celebrate!

Oh damn! Now look what I've gone and done! All the YEC will be over here babooning about us worshiping a mouldy clutch of bones in Westminister Abby, whilst their mouldy old bomes are somewwhere in the Mid East. If they exist.

But never mind all that political crap; raise a glass to Charlie, anyway.

I'll be hoisting a few tonight! And if anyone wants to get a little closer to the great man, get on to Google Streets and take a virtual 'drive' past his house. Go to Google Maps and put 'downe england' into the search box, then when it comes up just drag and drop the little yellow guy outside Down House, just south of the village. After having a look you can the 'drive' into the village, and take note of the George and Dragon pub, which was there in Darwin's day and where he might even have had a tipple.

You fiend! Never have I encountered such corrupt and foul-minded perversity! Have you ever considered a career in the Church? - The Bishop of Bath and Wells, Blackadder II
