Apparently people have had problems accessing Pharyngula the last few days (I was not affected), and yesterday PZ revealed that the heads of Seed had confirmed there was on ongoing Distributed Denial of Service (DDos) attack on ScienceBlogs' web servers.

Today it seems to be worse, since for the first time I cannot access any ScienceBlog pages before timing out. Some people also said yesterday that the Discover blogs (such as Phil Plait's Bad Astronomy) were similarly inaccessible, but I can't confirm that, nor do I know whether there is any relation.

Anyway, I'm sure they'll get it straightened out eventually. It will be interesting to see if they ever discover the culprit(s) and what the legal repercussions may be.

Still down today. Ironic that the haters of science are using science to prevent the propagation of science.

Although I guess most of 'em wouldn't spot the irony 'coz they're so bloody stupid.
