Every state has it's brain-damaged citizenry; there's no way to sugarcoat that pill. But unfortunately, in too many places, they seem to be rising in power and lunacy. For example. MA has come up with this load:
The Massachusetts legislature is conducting hearings Wednesday on a bill that would bar divorcing couples with children from carrying on a sexual relationship while in their own home.

The bill would prevent parents from "conducting a dating or sexual relationship within the home" until the divorce is final.

Although seemingly written to spare children the pain of seeing their parents become involved with other people, the bill's language is so broad it can easily be interpreted as forbidding sex entirely.

Parents that wish to have sex would need to get a judge's approval.
State Sen. Richard Ross sponsored the bill on behalf of his constituent Wrentham Selectman Robert Leclair
Just a few questions, Massachusetts
Morons; how are you going to enforce it? What would the penalties be as these, er, fuckers are dragged into court? Arte you proposing to clog up the jails with mere fornicators? And what business is it of yours in the first place, you dumb shits?

What we have here is just another proposed blue law; unenforceable and a waste of the legislators time as well as the court‘s, should it go into law. And like most if not all blue laws, it can be used selectively.

I think the MA legislature is smart enough to laugh it out of the chamber. But maybe not….

It would be a good idea if it could be enforced.

From the children's perspective, unless there's noisy sex, what difference would there be if there's sex or no sex? If there's going to be a ban for the reason of "sparing children the pain of seeing their parents become involved with other people" then the ban should apply to the entire presence of the other person around the children. Not that that is the state's business too.

Why not ban divorce in the first place?

Nah. It's been done before and is still being tried today. The only thing banning divorce would accomplish is to raise the domestic murder rate.

Yeah, but then at least, they wouldn't screw around as much. And the kids wouldn't get damaged from watching their parents cheat on each other.

Because that can be equally harmful to families, anyway it isn't even related to the topic. I have no problems with people moving on with their lives after divorce but spare the kids from the rattling headboards when they have enough emotional baggage to be dealing with. Some people don't even realise something is "Bad" until they make a law against it.

See, people will do whatever they damn' well please whenever they please to do it.

I don't think this turkey will float much beyond discussion stage, wasting yet more of the legislators' time and the MA taxpayer's money.
