I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that this might work. The Tehran Times had the following article entitled Defeating Obesity Through Homeopathy

Now, they prescribe 'medications', but I'm betting that if they stick to homeopathic food there will be significant weight loss.

Just guessing...

Ha! If you don't mind, I'm gonna share this on facebook.

Uncertainty may make you uncomfortable. Certainty makes you ridiculous.

Why not question something for a change?

Just like all beliefs, people can choose which delusions they care to take on or not. This skeptic's goal is to live and die with as few delusions as possible, thus preventing the negative impact they can bring during life and to not die from practicing or from others practicing any one of them.
I'll pass on saying any efficacy is shown here based on the evidence given and all the evidence available to support the efficacy of any homeopathic medicine. Which to my knowledge is zero.
With this treatment as with all others, I ask, is the weight loss benefit the result of reduced food intake relative to one's own needs over time or from the homeopathic medicine? There are plenty of overweight people that have told me (like most) they don't believe they are overweight because they eat more than they need but believe that other cause/s are the reason they are overweight. Those comments and the answers they gave to further questions on their beliefs left me dumbstruck.
When it comes to being overweight I'm not talking volume of food consumed alone but amount to an individuals body's need. There are many contributing factors. I believe in the concept that if more food than is needed is consumed them it will be stored as fat. I know it sounds crazy but that's how I understand it. Conversely when less food is consumed than is needed the body will consume it's fat instead, given a chance. The affect is lower or higher total weight! People with excess fat do not die fat if they cannot acquire food, certainly not from the lack of food alone. I have never seen a chronic underfed animal like a dog or horse being fat let alone gaining weight. I have seen and talked to underfed people, as they define it, gain weight. There has got to be something going on here with that. After talking to many overweight people I have have come to realize that I have a delusional crazy belief concept I can't seem to shake. My delusion is, how much anyone eats over time is what controls their total weight, big boned or not.
I must disclose that I never have had a weight problem but I do watch my weight and reduce consumption when I get a bit over my liking. Sadly because I am not currently fat and have never been overweight I'm told I really have no knowledge of what it's like to be fat so, how much could I really know? Because of that I am totally ignorant on the topic. This is based on every overweight person's opinion I have ever talked to.

As a skeptic this is one delusion I have that I think I can live with and will not cause my untimely death. SS
