It's nice to have dreams.
Utopia
Unrealistic as they may be. Plus he seems a little paranoid about people wanting to stop him.
I'd be more worried about the Mexican drug cartels taking over the platform to gain a floating distribution platform/growing/manufacturing platform.

What is going to happen to the refuse from the platform? Will the libertarian thing be to dump the shit in the ocean? It's the cheapest way, in fact it will cost nothing, and it's not like there will be any anti-pollution regulations keeping them from doing it...

The comments are funny. Comparing the idea to Bioshock, Lord of the Flies and Thunder Dome. Lots of "wait until the first typhoon" talk, snickering about the "looser building codes."
