This is low, even for them. Notice though that this apparently started under Franco...so guess who'll get the blame once the church starts feeling the heat.
If anyone can get the link to the actual documentary once it airs it'd be nice...I don't know just how reliable this Daily Mail outfit is.
EDIT: Found a non-raggy source.
The documentary about it will be on Tuesday, it seems.
I do know that PZ Myers has picked up on this.
Looks like it happened in Australia and Ireland also.

What brought that on? this. Original posting here.
Another example of this guy's lunacy here. |

Ah, so that's why the church won't let unwed women use birth control or have abortions. It was so they could steal their babies and sell them for profit. It's so perfectly evil that no sane person could have imagined it possible. When is someone going to bring up the pope on charges for crimes against humanity? Would we even be hesitating to act if it weren't for the morally-stupefying effects of religion?

First I've hard of this. I'm horrified, but not surprised.
In response to HH, they don't get away with it because they are a religion. They get away with it because they are an incredibly powerful, long-established institution. Same reason Bush and Cheney won't ever be prosecuted. |
