I was reading the editorials in the newspaper. On Oct 28, a business wrote a commentary that global warming is not caused by humans. On the next day, there were several responses to this. I have included the most humorous response below...
Like commentator Richard Haddad, who dismisses global warming because there is no "unanimity" among scientists on the issue ("Get past alarmism on global warming," Oct. 26), we of the Flat Earth Society feel the same about the lack of unanimity among scientists supporting the round-Earth theory.
After all, it's only a theory, and anyone not blinded by science can see that the Earth is flat just by looking out their window. One need only conduct a Google search of the terms "flat earth" to find hundreds of believers who refute the round-Earth theory.
Mr. Haddad also notes that the American public no longer believes man is the cause of global warming, and surveys by popular conservative radio talk show hosts prove it.
To give just one example: The global warming alarmists claim we are burning millions of years worth of fossil fuels that date back to the age of the dinosaurs. Such claims are obviously impossible, since the world was only created 6,000 years ago.
Besides, most of the round-earth theories come from East Coast academics who cannot even see the horizon because of all the trees. People in the Midwest are not fooled by such theories, because they can see for miles in every direction and thus have no illusions that the Earth is not flat.
