PZ Myers is a working biologist and a professor at University of Minnesota Morris. His blog, Pharyngula gets huge traffic and us highly influential. The neologistic verb, "pharyngulate" comes from PZ's practice of sending forth his minions to overwhelm unscientific online polls.

Myers is one of the most outspoken of the "Gnu" atheists. He can be quire a pleasant fellow to chat with, but makes a very tough opponent. The guy's good with words.
