This will be the last "face" for a while, as I try to again create a backlog to post. Your patience, please.

If you know this face, please post the name below.

Aleister Crowley. But I have no confidence in that answer.

So?

Uncertainty may make you uncomfortable. Certainty makes you ridiculous.

Hey, being those things is a pretty big accomplishment, don't you think, Mr. Big Deal? (Besides, I still have a very small backlog of faces, and need to be a schmuck about giving useful hints.)

But okay, here's...

Hint #2: Was concerned with the psychology of authoritarianism.

Ain't him.

Sorry for taking so long to check in.

There's been a blackout (locally called a "brownout" in the Philippines) since before dawn until well after sunset. Power just came back on at last. When the lights came back on, a loud cheer went up from the whole Camp 7 neighborhood (locally called a "barangay").

We are also totally out of household tap water, though we have drinking water (locally called "mineral water," though it's just non-potable tap water run through reverse osmosis and delivered in plastic Jerry cans by my next-door neighbor). Now the five us -- my fiancee, three of her nieces, and myself (locally called "almost half of a family") are getting might scroungy from lack of baths, with commodes getting unmentionable, etc.

We're all waiting impatiently for a water truck, which should have been here over four hours ago. Our big tanks ran empty and there's been no city water to refill them, so we must buy a tank refill from Holy Water or another such service. So I'm kind of out-of-sorts about all this unbearable crap (locally called "It's More Fun in the Philippines").
