Don't know who the guy is, but unless I miss my guess, the underlying picture is a still from 12 Angry Men starring Henry Fonda. |

| That's right. Great film. Fonda had a much more serious expression. Note the knife is held up delicately, as if for examination, rather than in a tight, threatening grip.
But the face isn't Henry Fonda's, of course.
This is:

Hint #1: This person went after the last person, but the blade he used was more of a razor than a switchblade. |

| You're right, you know. Congrats!
Ray Hyman is a psychologist at the University of Oregon in Eugene, Oregon. A devoted skeptic, Ray's main target is parapsychology. One of his targets was a badly done study that claimed John Edward was a legitimate psychic.
Wiki: While attending Boston University as a young man,[2] he also worked as a magician and mentalist,[3] impressing the head of his department (among others) with his palmistry. Hyman at one point believed that 'reading' the lines on a person's palm could provide insights into their nature, but later discovered that the person's reaction to the reading had little to do with the actual lines on the palm. This led to his interest in psychology.[4] He obtained a doctorate in psychology from Johns Hopkins University in 1953,[5] and then taught at Harvard for five years.[2] He also became an expert in statistical methods. Along with other notable skeptics like Paul Kurtz, he was a founding member of the Committee for the Scientific Investigation of Claims of the Paranormal (CSICOP),[6] which publishes the Skeptical Inquirer. |

I've had the pleasure of having two fairly long conversations with Ray Hyman. Michelle and I talked to him at the CFI west and I talked to him at TAM4. Both conversations were about False Memory Syndrome and repressed memories. He knows some of the players. He encouraged me to stick with it. He's a very nice man and very generous with his time. |

| I believe it. I could not find an unsmiling photo of the man, and I tried. |
