Hat tip to Evidence of Harm (a Facebook page). I've resized these, and punched up the contrast a bit, but otherwise did not Photoshop them:

This author doesn't understand electricity, so scientists
and engineers don't either. Maybe it's of the Devil.
It's probably best you don't even think about it, kids!

Bad enough they push the Biblical myth, but then they lie even more and attribute
a silly and totally strawman idea of the moon's formation to "some scientists."

These fanatics want their kids ignorant and pliable. This is child abuse. The kids should be liberated, the perpetrators jailed.

Please don't tell me this is actually being used somewhere... Quite possibly the saddest thing I've ever seen.

Sorry, there does seem to be such a book (Amazon), by Debra White. Read the Amazon reviews, especially the one by Bo Jangles the Cat!:
As a cat, I don't really understand the world of science. It is complicated! This book, however, puts science into terms even I can understand! It is the perfect science book for kittens, and really close-minded humans with no desire to actually learn about science! Meow!
I have a copy of another Creo "science" text, and it is indeed very, very bad. But for the most part it at least treats science that's not Bible-conflicting in a straightforward, if somewhat bumbling, way.

This text shown above, though! The comments on electricity, one of the best-understood phenomena in our world, is just horrible. It's as though it's written by a time-traveling Medieval monk who finds it frightening. I can only suppose the intention really was to nip scientific curiosity in the bud.

Like a good movie, the text makes the viewer scared, it makes them angry, it makes them weep. Dino De Laurentiis, the producer of the 1976 version of King Kong, is supposed to have summed up his movie in his Italian accent, "When the monkey die, the people cry."

No! Especially without knowing what lights are being mentioned. Stars in Andromeda, candles in an abbey, the LED lights in my rented house? I can only say that for sure, no metaphorical light came on in Debra White's brain when she was "explaining" the science of electricity.

There is this wall switch in my house that doesn't do anything when I turn it on or off.
The other day I got a phone call from a man in Germany who said "stop it".

No one can explain electricity? I've made a tonne of money not explaining electricity. I could explain it to them but that would be really stupid of me now wouldn't it.

It's really the same with theists who can't how this all got to be, except through God. IF Priest or Minister, who make a tonne of money, really explained it, that would be really stupid of them now wouldn't it!

The most effing funny thing I've read here in years.

>From: enuffenuff@fastmail.fm
(excerpt follows):
> I'm looking to teach these two bastards a lesson they'll never forget.
> Personal visit by mates of mine. No violence, just a wee little chat.
>
> **** has also committed more crimes than you can count with his
> incitement of hatred against a religion. That law came in about 2007
> much to ****'s ignorance. That is fact and his writing will become well
> know as well as him becoming a publicly known icon of hatred.
>
> Good luck with that fuckwit. And Reynold, fucking run, and don't stop.
> Disappear would be best as it was you who dared to attack me on my
> illness knowing nothing of the cause. You disgust me and you are top of
> the list boy. Again, no violence. Just regular reminders of who's there
> and visits to see you are behaving. Nothing scary in reality. But I'd
> still disappear if I was you.

What brought that on? this. Original posting here.

Another example of this guy's lunacy here.

First read that one from quotes from Steven Wright. It's a good'en.

"We are all connected; to each other biologically, to the earth chemically, to the rest of the universe atomically."

"So you're made of detritus [from exploded stars]. Get over it. Or better yet, celebrate it. After all, what nobler thought can one cherish than that the universe lives within us all?"
-Neil DeGrasse Tyson
