Chen Guangcheng is the Chinese human rights activist who recently arrived in the United States. Among many other issues, Chen fought against a polluting paper mill that was destroying crops, wildlife and livelihoods, for the rights of the disabled (Chen is himself blind), and against forced sterilizations and abortions, which had been inflicted upon thousands of people in China's Shandong province.

Welcome to the USA, Mr. Chen, and thank you for standing up for women, the disabled, and a clean environment! Keep up the good work.

You may find our country rather strange, Guangcheng. In the US, we have the whole abortion issue upside down as compared to China. In America, the abuses are mainly due to not being allowed to have access to voluntary abortions.
