According to a report in USA Today notes that according to a recent survey, "17% percent of Americans don't believe UFOs exist, 36% think they do, and 48% aren't sure."
The survey was obviously conducted by the National Geographic Channel in conjunction with its new show "Chasing UFOs" and has some odd results listed (at least according to the story). For example, "about 79% of those surveyed think the government has kept information about UFOs a secret from the public." So only 36% of people believe in UFOs, and 48% aren't sure, but virtually 80% think that there's a government UFO cover-up? If you're not sure UFOs exist, how can you at the same time be completely sure that there's a government cover-up?!?
Anyhow, I thought I'd pass this on.

| The non-existence of UFOs may also be a secret the Guv'ment is keeping suppressed. Or maybe they're keeping their uncertainty on the matter under wraps? |

Three thoughts,
There you go, expecting anything about UFO's to be rational and make sense. Their talking Alien UFO's, what would you expect?
Einstein might agree that, 17 + 36 + 48 = 101 but I wouldn't want to put words into his mouth.
Ever notice, it seems hardly a week goes by without another claim of "new evidence" being reported on the UFO circuit. As though we're some how missing one final piece of real evidence and the case is made.

I don't know about UFOs flying around today, but Ancient Aliens are a totally different story. |

Don't be ridiculous! Of course UFOs exist.
Einstein might agree that, 17 + 36 + 48 = 101 but I wouldn't want to put words into his mouth. | I'm sure it's just a rounding problem. |

Absolutely UFOs exist and the government covers them up.
Now UFO only refers to an unidentified flying object. Alien spacecraft UFOs likely don't exist. Too much time and hassle to futz with some backwater dump like Earth.
UFO as being testing of new airframes and experimental military aircraft, damn skippy. And also why the government moves to cover up those stories. Even the F117A Nighthawk crashed in a forest and the US government denied the that anything had crashed there.
Methinks the survey was worded ambiguously and the numbers skew accordingly.

The eyes of portrait paintings do that, too. Ghosts! |
