I know nothing about Mexican politics, but it seems like every Mexican with internet access hates this guy...
Some things I've read about him (which may or may not be true)
Couldn't remember his wife's cause of death.
Couldn't name 3 good books he'd read.
Admitted to cheating on his first wife and having 2 children with another woman.
His daughter accused his critics of being "Proletariat assholes" on twitter.
Only speaks Spanish.
When asked about the price of tortillas, he didn't know, stating "I'm not the housewife".
When asked about the current minimum wage, he was wrong by over a factor of 10.
Accused of buying votes, rigging elections.
Accused of killing his wife.
The new president of Mexico!

Enrique Peña Nieto represents the centrist and famously corrupt PRI (Institutional Revolutionary Party), which long dominated Mexico as a one-party state.
