Right on the mark! It's Joseph Farah, founder or WorldNetDaily, King of the Wingnuts.
Farah has used WND to promote the Birther myth, and refuses to take note of any and all solid evidence against his extraordinary claim that Barack Obama was born outside the United States. When he saw the official birth document for the President, Farah claimed it was a phony. He demanded a copy of the "long form," (which is normally kept in Hawaiian state files), and declared that if this was ptroduced, he'd give $15,000 to the Kapi’olani Medical Center, where Obama was born. Farah wrote in 2009:| “We’ve tried the stick,” said Farah. “Now let’s try the carrot. Obama has said he was born in Kapi’olani Hospital in Honolulu. He participated in a fund-raiser for the medical center in January. WND will send a check in the amount of $15,000 to whatever birth hospital is listed on his long-form birth certificate. All Obama has to do to see that donation made is to release it publicly.” |
But when Hawaii made an exception and released Obama's long form certificate, Farah called it "fraudulent."
Is Farah as crazy as he seems? Maybe as crazy as a fox. I personally think he doesn't believe his own Birther comments for a moment. The following comments from Farah show the sound Machiavellian reasons behind Farah's Birther lies: | Farah is among those who have promulgated conspiracy theories questioning Barack Obama's status as a natural born citizen of the United States and resultant eligibility to serve as U.S. President, stating, "It'll plague Obama throughout his presidency. It'll be a nagging issue and a sore on his administration, much like Monica Lewinsky was on Bill Clinton's presidency" and "It's not going to go away, and it will drive a wedge in an already divided public." |
Joseph Farah is simply the latest and nastiest in a long string of political dirty-trickster operatives, working with pure dishonesty to weaken the President. He's a liar, a scoundrel and a cheat.
