Uh, you're not trying to tell us something by this are you?

What brought that on? this. Original posting here.

Another example of this guy's lunacy here.

I hope not. Beautiful poem though. Anyone who has had a pet grow old can feel it.

My neighbour had to put down their Rottweiler last week, because of age-related illness. It was 10 years old, and in a lot of pain.

I'm no more dying than I was when I was born. And Foxi is still a healthy, growing pup. I saw this poem and just had to post it somehow, in a general salute to the many Good Dogs I've had, to their mortality, and to the many mortal human friends I've lost as well.

I'm not feeling particularly sentimental or morbid, but sometimes this kind of perspective may help one to appreciate our ability, while we have it, of doing "unheard-of" things.

But here's a video of a very responsible dog, bringing its cat companion back home. Whether she likes it or not.

Funny, huh? It seemed to be resigned to being brought back home. Must happen a lot. Probably a binge drinker.
