| Kind of out of context, but basically God takes priority over family. Honour one's father and mother, but God is number 1. Nothing new here. Also he is quoting from Jewish prophecy, not-quite verbatim. Possibly Matthew's account inserted this quote as part of prophecy fulfilment. |
