Appears to be a couple of others being hung. Just a guess, but are they Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi? This is the only picture I have seen.

I wonder if anyone has demanded that Shell Oil terminate the contract with the operator of the station, due either perpetrating or allowing this racist fake lynching? A movement to pressure Shell based around this would probably would probably work better than the Chick-fil-A boycott did.

Surprised? If it wasn't at a gas station it would probably have be set on fire too. It has been stated by a Republican once, "extremism is no vice". Since then it seems some bigots take extremism as a virtue.

There are only two types of religious people, the deceivers and the deceived. SS

That quote was from Barry Goldwater, who said:
I would remind you that extremism in the defense of liberty is no vice! And let me remind you also that moderation in the pursuit of justice is no virtue!
But Goldwater was an entirely different sort of conservative Republican from those Religious Right types that now dominate the GOP, and the Teabagger (or maybe KKK?) types who probably were behind the effigy lynching. More to his credit, Goldwater also said:

On religious issues there can be little or no compromise. There is no position on which people are so immovable as their religious beliefs. There is no more powerful ally one can claim in a debate than Jesus Christ, or God, or Allah, or whatever one calls this supreme being. But like any powerful weapon, the use of God's name on one's behalf should be used sparingly. The religious factions that are growing throughout our land are not using their religious clout with wisdom. They are trying to force government leaders into following their position 100 percent. If you disagree with these religious groups on a particular moral issue, they complain, they threaten you with a loss of money or votes or both.
I'm frankly sick and tired of the political preachers across this country telling me as a citizen that if I want to be a moral person, I must believe in "A," "B," "C" and "D." Just who do they think they are? And from where do they presume to claim the right to dictate their moral beliefs to me?
And I am even more angry as a legislator who must endure the threats of every religious group who thinks it has some God-granted right to control my vote on every roll call in the Senate. I am warning them today: I will fight them every step of the way if they try to dictate their moral convictions to all Americans in the name of "conservatism."

There are several white guys hung in effigy and only one black guy. How is that racist?

There appears to be a long (and rather annoying) discussion of that topic on Pharyngula, starting with

For the record, this display actually has little or nothing to do with the election and even less with racism. For one thing, there are at least seven other hung effigies on the same truck, and they all appear to depict palefaces. You can see one of them–wearing what looks like judge’s robes–in the pic shown in the OP.
But go ahead and keep on jerkin’ yer knees about it.
People there are accusing ChasCPeterson of ignorance of US History. Apparently those people are all perfect arbiters of racism, and anybody who disagrees with them must be stupid.

I had read that...I was thinking of the anti-democratic hatred of the conservatives; not actual racism. I should have made that clear.
