I've seen this before but where?
On closer examination that lady's "baby bump" is miss placed and from the time period so are the headphones, Ipad and the bluetooth earpiece. Nice art all the same.

Oh! I see the jet sky and what looks like energyscholar and his buddy Stuart too.

Aren't we feeling spunky, eh mooner?

Thanks! You have very good eyes, ss. I'm feeling pretty good. Certainly "spunky" enough to enjoy Photoshopping. I just work on the premise that if I like something, then maybe others might, too. It's a hit-and-miss rule of thumb, but it's the best I've been able to come up with.

Sunday Afternoon has a monkey in it? I initially thought that was part of your work, mooner.

Nope, Seurat had a better sense of humor than I. Monkeys are by definition hilarious.

Nope, Seurat had a better sense of humor than I. Monkeys are by definition hilarious. I only put in Mormon missionaries, which are a lesser source of humor.

Ferris Bueller's Day Off featured the painting in a memorable scene.

Wonderful movie, inspiring scene in a world-class art museum. They showed the detail of the Seurat painting right down to the "paint element" (painxel) scale.

Thanks!

It's quite challenging to 'Shop a Pointillist painting. It's not easy to paste in an image and give it that same texture, or at least a texture that will pass casual examination. Also, clearing the river of water traffic to make room for the jet skiers was hairy -- until I used Alien Skin Image Doctor's "Smart Fill" filter. (That's a very intelligent filter, indeed, though tricky to use.)
