Pictures by Steve McCurry, with the last roll of Kodachrome ever made by Kodak. I miss that film.

I have a 35mm Cannon Eos sitting here collecting dust. I do think that 35mm film can still do things that digital can't in the way that analog recordings have a different quality to them than digital does. Warmer, for lack of a better term.

Oh well...

Uncertainty may make you uncomfortable. Certainty makes you ridiculous.

Why not question something for a change?

Thus marks the end of recorded history, as every image afterwards will become a digitally-edited lie. :p

Let's hope not, but it makes me wonder: will courts begin to refuse to allow evidence in the form of digital images? It's so easy these days to manipulate something into an image that's so realistic it boggles the mind.

Don't know how things have progressed, but I believe that at one time there was a shade of blue that was physically impossible to render with digital images.

It's not that simple. As someone who actually does digital manipulation - realistic blending and modification is still quite hard to accomplish for someone who hasn't spent hours upon hours practicing how and yes, someone who does it well will notice the mistakes of a less-skilled manipulator.

Of course, as it becomes cheaper/easier to do so, more people will become better at it...
