From WWJTD.

JTEberhard's father:

So, instead of $7200 per year for catastrophic insurance for Carol and I, plus paying out about $10,000 out of pocket each year due to the high deductible and pre-existing conditions………we will pay either $1200 or $3600 per year for a damned sight better coverage and much fewer out of pocket expenses.

So, for all the conservatives who have been desperately straining for years to scare me out of this, and to the Republicans in the House who have voted 37 times to repeal the ACA……kiss my country ass. You’re a bunch of lying, fear mongering and ignorant demagogues, and you should be ashamed of yourselves.

Anyone got anything to add, positive or negative?

What brought that on? this. Original posting here.

Another example of this guy's lunacy here.

Where the hell does he get insurance that cheap? I WORK for a health insurance company and I pay more that what they do (plus the company picks up an additional 4 times that amount).

In addition, the Republican plan proposed in 2009 also outlawed pre-existing conditions and catastrophic insurance was made illegal under Obamacare. My premiums and the premiums of people who have HMO/PPO insurance has increased. Mine went up 8%.

While a good deal for those who were overpaying for catastrophic insurance, this was not good for HMO/PPO members. Add in that drug costs were not likewise controlled and Big Pharma was taxed at a lower rate than DME. And we have treatments of symptoms that do not address root cause.

Enjoy it while your are able. If Romney was elected president by his own campain promise you wouldn't have enjoyed that benefit today. That money your saving stays in your pocket instead of going into others pocket as it had been doing. Some of those pockets it won't be going into are the politicians who politically support repealing Obama/Romney care the first chance they get. Don't spend your savings to soon.

Should have copied our systems up here in the Great White North. You're just reinventing the wheel.
