Physical resemblance is remarkable evidence for... wait for it: ... physical resemblance. Which happen from time to time.
Physical resemblance happen between people who are currently alive and thus not able to be reincarnations of the same soul, which means that physical resemblance between someone deceased and someone living now cannot be used as evidence for reincarnations since it can happen without reincarnation.

Especially since we have seen the same thing between Nicholas Cage and an unknown individual from the 1800's. How can we not also consider vampirism in this way as well? It has the same amount of physical evidence. |

Perhaps they're the same person in overlapping time lines, ala Doctor Who. |

Depends on the timelord. If they offer you a jelly baby, then it might be ok. If they pull out a matter compression eliminator, not so much. |
