Yeah. We were pretty worried when Dr. Oz was called up by Claire McCaskill as an expert in diet scams. At least that's how it was reported earlier. She was having none of that. Dr. Oz was there because he's part of the problem. But if you look at the comments, you will see many people defending Dr. Oz, which is kind of depressing. Calling a product a "miracle" even if you aren't endorsing any particular brand is still an endorsement. He makes his living by telling his audience what they want to hear, and science be damned.

I doubt that this will actually hurt him at all. He might change a few things in his delivery, but he knows what side his bread is buttered on.


Uncertainty may make you uncomfortable. Certainty makes you ridiculous.

Why not question something for a change?
