So Kent Hovind is nearing the end of his sentence for his tax crimes, but is now facing new charges because he and a buddy keep interfering with the sale of properties Hovind forfeited when he was found guilty the first time:
According to an Oct. 21 federal indictment filed against Hovind and Paul John Hansen — a Nebraska man known for his vigorous opposition of government tax and property laws — the duo has been charged with mail fraud and criminal contempt for interfering with the sale of Pensacola properties Hovind was forced to forfeit as a result of the 2006 case.

The indictment says that in 2011, Hansen filed liens on nine of Hovind's forfeited properties on North Palafox Street, Cummings Road and Oleander Drive.

In 2012 the government was granted an injunction ordering that neither Hovind nor any agent acting on his behalf file or attempt to file any "liens, notices, financing titles and claims of whatever nature ... to cloud the title of the properties."

The following year, both Hovind and Hansen reportedly mailed additional documents disputing the ownership of the property.
The charges come with up to 20 years and a half-million-dollar fine, but realistically he won't get nearly that much. Of course, I guess that when you're 61, even little sentences in prison can feel like a lot.

Sheesh!

As if we didn't know it already, Hovind is batshit crazy. His theme song should be "I fought the Law and the Law Won."

Uncertainty may make you uncomfortable. Certainty makes you ridiculous.

And now Hovind thinks he has a case for false imprisonment, and is going to sue the government for almost $9 million.

Well, nevermind that lawsuit against the government.

Kent Hovind is, instead, getting divorced, is already engaged to another woman (who is deeply anti-vaccine), and claims that his soon-to-be-ex-wife and his son stole $2 million of Kent's stuff (despite Kent claiming in earlier court appearances that he owned nothing).
